Resident Evil 2 Remake Review

 Resident Evil 2 Remake Review

Resident Evil 2 Remake is the remake of an acclaimed game of a very popular game franchise, Resident Evil 2 released in the year 1998. It is the first game in game franchise to have the initials of the name being red.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is a game in which player takes control of now a very popular game character Leon S. Kennedy, a police officer who is going to the Racoon City on his first day of duty. Players have also the option to play with Claire Redfield, sister of Chris Redfield. She is headed towards the Racoon City to find the hints of his brother's where abouts. But in the Racoon city, a tragedy occurs, a virus outbreak happens and now both have to get out this mess and find out who is behind the virus outbreak.

Remake is a major improvement in every way compared to older RE titles and comes with a improved gameplay mechanics and graphics. You have limited ammo in this game and a load of zombies and boss battles to fight through, so every bullet counts. In some cases you might have not a bullet and have resort to running and dodging the enemies. The environment of the game contributes to the theme of the game, it scary, gritty and makes the player feel lonely. The level design is also great with interconnected levels.

The weapons in this game plays a major role in defending against the horde of zombies, there are multiple weapons scattered throughout the game, but finding them is a bit tricky, if won't pay attention to your environment, you may lose the opportunity to get a new weapons. Other times some weapons are hidden behind a puzzle and you have to solve it in order to get the weapon. I suggest you to complete all the puzzles as these are almost always worth the time.

In the end I will say that it is not a perfect game but it definitely is a must for the fans of the series and if you like horror games.
